Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games. Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km. The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
The Olympic and Paralympic Villages are the hearts of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, being the main home of athletes and primary team officials. The Villages Accommodation, Inventory & Inspection and Helpdesk Coordinator has the key role to lead on the readiness and for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Olympic and Paralympic Villages by ensuring that accommodation spaces and operations meet required standards, managing and tracking inventory of furniture and equipment, and operating a responsive helpdesk for delegations and stakeholders. This role is critical to delivering a comfortable and functional environment for all Village residents, including athletes, team officials, and support personnel. This role exists in the traditional Olympic and Paralympic Villages in Milano, Cortina and Predazzo. The role will also support the planning of the Villages in Existing Hotels (Bormio, Livigno and Anterselva).
This position plays a key role in ensuring on the readiness of Villages and on the service delivery within the Villages, providing the residents with a safe and comfortable environment. The goal is to create optimal living conditions throughout the traditional Olympic and Paralympic Villages and on the support of the planning of the other 3 villages (OVB, OVL and OVA). This position is responsible for leading the preparation and coordination of daily operations of the traditional villages and ensuring alignment with other operational functions and areas. The role is expected to begin in September 2025, to ensure the Villages are readiness and to secure the optimal delivery of services throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Key Responsibilities:
Accommodation Coordination: - Lead in the allocation and preparation of residential units and NOC/NPC (National Olympic/Paralympic Committees) dedicated spaces across the Village.
- Support readiness and turnover processes between Olympic and Paralympic phases, i.e., transition planning and period.
- Monitor and report any maintenance, cleanliness, or set-up issues in accommodations.
Inventory & Inspection: - Lead and liaise with NOC/NPC representatives to coordinate check-ins, check-outs, and room assignment Maintain accurate records of room inventory (furniture, fittings, appliances, etc.).
- Plan and conduct regular inspections to ensure all items are in good condition and meet Games-time standards.
- Support logistics and technology teams in the delivery, installation, or replacement of inventory as required.
- Lead the process of planning the structure of tracking and report damages, losses, or inconsistencies, plus the financial reconciliation of the damages reported in the NOC/NPC spaces.
Helpdesk Operations: - Support on the design and implement an efficient communication workflow for the Village helpdesk to log and manage service requests, complaints, and inquiries.
- Liaise with relevant departments (e.g., cleaning, maintenance, logistics, technology) to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
- Support on the definition of the structure on how to provide regular status updates and follow-up communication to clients to maintain transparency and satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the helpdesk system, ensuring all requests are tracked through to completion.
Additional Responsibilities during Games time: - Housekeeping Management: support the coordination of all the cleaning operations in the Villages.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of linens, toiletries, and other supplies necessary for accommodations. Coordinate procurement and restocking as needed to meet demand.
- Laundries Management: support on the delivery of services.
- Facilities Coordination: Collaborate with maintenance staff to address any maintenance or repair needs within accommodations, ensuring a safe and functional environment for residents
- Quality Assurance: Implement and uphold quality standards for cleanliness, comfort within accommodations. Support on the development of an overall plan with contractors and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with organizational policies and residents' expectations.
- Residential Services (Resident Centre). Support on the service levels delivery and operations.
- Support other villages operations from different functional areas to guarantee the services levels committed.
- Provide ongoing support during the Games, addressing any unforeseen challenges or changes in the service's needs.
- The role may include additional scope as determined by project requirements and any necessary adjustments.
Qualifications (Essentials)
- Experience in team management and leadership (e.g., paid staff, volunteers and contractors)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and comfort standards.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining service quality.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Experience with databases and digital record-keeping.
Availability since September/October 2025. - Proficient in English and Italian (written and spoken).
Desirables
- Previous experience in Hospitality or Hotel Management, preferably in guest services and housekeeping operations, at large-scale events (e.g., Olympics, World Cups, large festivals), hotels or cruise ships.
- Candidates ideally be based in Milano, Cortina or Predazzo.
- Additional language skills (e.g., Spanish, French, German).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
- Familiarity with Autocad will be considered an advantage
- Valid Category B (car) driving license (EU-recognized)
