Hope for Justice is a charity working to bring freedom from human trafficking and modern slavery with an effective and proven multi-disciplinary model. Our wholly owned social enterprise, Slave-Free Alliance, provides services to global companies and public bodies seeking to protect their operations and supply chains against the risks of modern slavery and labour exploitation. We have active programmes in the UK, USA, Ethiopia and Uganda, reaching approximately 200,000 adults and children a year. We have an exciting opportunity for an Advisor - Human Rights in Supply Chains to join our Slave-Free Alliance (SFA) team.
As an Advisor - Human Rights in Supply Chains, you will manage a portfolio of SFA members and support them to identify and address risks of modern slavery and labour exploitation in their operations and supply chains. You will deliver consultancy services to members, and sometimes clients, in a commercial context and form and maintain effective operational relationships with SFA members and clients. To be successful in this role, you will need to have some transferable experience in business and human rights and/or consulting, and be a couple of years into your career. Relevant professional streams include ESG/human rights consulting, risk management, investigation, supply chain management, audit, compliance, law, corporate social responsibility or similar. You will need to have knowledge of modern slavery, labour exploitation and broader business and human rights, as well as enthusiasm to progress SFA member’s journeys in addressing the risk of modern slavery. Main Duties - Effectively manage a portfolio of members.
- Develop tailored action plans for the entire membership journey that address the risk of modern slavery and labour exploitation in their businesses and supply chains.
- Drive member progress and capitalise on commercial opportunities.
- Establish a structured approach to CRM, monitor and evaluate progression and maintain accurate up-to-date records.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth, up-to-date knowledge and understanding of all SFA Consultancy, Training and Technology Services
- Deliver SFA Consultancy Services to members using SFA processes and methodologies, e.g. Gap Analysis, Site Assessments, Risk Assessments, and Escalation etc.
- Delivery SFA Learning Solutions to members e.g. facilitator-led training
- Support Senior Advisors with the delivery of the SFA Gap Analysis and Consultancy Services to strategic members.
- Undertake client work as required.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Slave-Free Alliance Accounts, Sales and Training teams in order toeffectively and seamlessly develop the operational relationship with members.
- Facilitate the provision of additional services to members e.g. Training, Technology, Seminars, Webinars, Anti-Slavery Week etc. alongside the Sales and Account Management teams.
- Support other SFA team members as required.
- Provide or seek the appropriate support to Slave-Free Alliance members where potential incidents of modern slavery and labour exploitation are identified.
- Support the development of new and improved products.
- Support the international expansion of SFA into new markets where required.
- Support the development of new tools & guides for SFA members including potential technology solutions.
- Work at all times in line with SFA policies and procedures and the wider strategy, culture and ethos of Slave-Free Alliance/ Hope for Justice.
- Understand and uphold the standards outlined in the Hope for Justice Safeguarding policies, acting with due care and attention to safeguard the wellbeing of anyone that comes into contact with our work and reporting concerns if they do arise.
Key Result Areas - Develop and deliver annual action plans for members.
- Ensure timely use of membership benefits each year.
- Outstanding member progression year on year.
- Delivery of high quality SFA Consultancy Services to members and clients.
- Development of member relationships and capitalisation on extra services.
- Completion of status reports (progress evaluation) for members in annual membership reviews.
- Provision of regular referrals to the sales team for new services for existing members.
- Effective escalation of members not utilising benefits, making slow progress or posing a risk to SFA.
- Successful support and delivery of FY NPD plan.
