Dash Express, a member of the Palletways network, is a leading logistics provider in the South-West, committed to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence. As AM Shift Supervisor, you’ll oversee the early shift pallet operations, ensuring smooth start-up, efficient resource allocation, and compliance with company standards. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll make a real impact on service performance. ·Lead and supervise the AM shift team, including drivers and warehouse operatives, to achieve service targets and KPIs. ·Oversee morning pallet dispatch, ensuring vehicles are loaded accurately and routes are prepared for timely departures. ·Conduct daily briefings with drivers and staff, communicating priorities and safety reminders. ·Monitor vehicle checks, compliance with health & safety, and driver hours regulations. ·Handle escalations and problem-solving for delivery issues, route disruptions, and customer queries during the shift. ·Maintain accurate shift reporting, including performance metrics and incident logs. ·Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of drivers and operational staff. ·Drive continuous improvement in operational processes and customer service standards. ·Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure seamless handover between shifts. ·Proven experience in shift supervision within pallet logistics, transport, or distribution. ·Strong team leadership skills. ·Excellent organisational and planning ability. ·Knowledge of transport compliance, driver regulations, and health & safety standards. ·Proficient in IT systems and handheld technology (route planning, HHT). ·Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. ·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ·A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence. ·All of our staff must pass a basic DBS check. Job Title – AM Shift Supervisor - Pallets Location – Dash Express Exeter, Hill Barton Depot, EX5 1DR Reports to – Operations Manager Pay – £30,000 to £35,000 per annum Shift pattern – Monday to Friday. 05:00 start Additional Benefits 5.6 weeks holiday entitlement including bank holidays, increasing 1 day per years’ service up to 5 years. |
