Malteurop produces 2,3 million tons of malt manufactured in its 23 factories around the world (Europe, North America, Mexico, Oceania, Asia). About the Role Reporting to the Production Manager, the Planning Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and improving planning systems, managing inventory, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting for key stakeholders across Procurement, Logistics, Production and S&OP. You will be the central link between planning activities and the operational teams, ensuring that production runs efficiently and that data integrity within SAP and planning tools is always maintained.
Key Responsibilities Planning & Logistics - Maintain and update planning tools for raw materials, production scheduling and shipping.
- Ensure all stock movements are accurately translated into SAP.
- Manage inventory activities, including daily checks, weekly reviews, and monthly stocktakes and yield reporting.
Monitoring & Performance - Run daily SAP checks and escalate issues to the Production Manager.
- Conduct weekly silo dips, monthly stocktakes and investigate variances.
- Track key constraints such as silo space, barley varieties and delivery shortfalls.
- Support daily and weekly operations as required.
Reporting - Prepare daily, weekly and monthly management reports.
- Analyse planning accuracy and identify improvement opportunities.
- Liaise with global SAP support teams to troubleshoot system issues.
- Provide COAs (Certificates of Analysis) and PSAs (Pre-Shipment Analysis) for external stakeholders.
- Assist with operational reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
General Responsibilities - Ensure compliance with all company policies and relevant legislation.
- Uphold high standards of environmental, health and safety performance.
- Participate in project work and corrective action activities as required.
About You You will be a strong communicator, problem solver and analytical thinker who enjoys working collaboratively across teams. You are hands-on with data, confident in planning systems and comfortable in a production environment. Skills & Experience - Experience in resource planning including materials, people and process scheduling.
- Strong understanding of production planning and quality control principles.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and develop corrective action plans.
- Advanced analytical and data reporting skills.
- High competency in MS Excel, MS Office and exposure to WRP systems; SAP highly regarded.
- Excellent organisational, literacy, numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications - Degree in Science, Agriculture, Engineering or relevant discipline (or equivalent experience).
